The Konsortium: The konsortium
13/07/11 || Lord K Philipson
Hailing from Norway, The Konsortium are determined to deliver some qualitative, quite original at times, black/death metal. It doesn’t sound like the Dimmu Borgirs or Immortals of the world, nope – The Konsortium’s got something more up their sleeves while still coming across as true to their roots (whatever they may be). The production is a little half-weird but adds to the atmosphere I guess these guys are after. And while talking about atmosphere, they even managed to bring some of it into the promo photos. You know they are serious about their shit when they take the time to pose like that in mysterious masks and whatnot. Slipknot’s got shit on these guys. But seriously, do not let the appearance fool you – The Konsortium’s got a decent thing going for them.
5,5/10: I wouldn’t be too shocked if they get a small (but only a small) buzz in the scene. It sounds like they may have the tools to create something of interest down the road.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
